Bulby

Bulby follows the story of a cartoon-like creature as he journeys through a strange, fantastical world, A world, although beautiful, is not without it's perils.

The story begins with an unfortunate mishap that leaves Bulby in a dark and foreboding place known to it's inhabitants as the 'Iron Forest'. It is an almost maze-like place that confines all who enter. Yet, in spite of this, the story of Bulby depicts the tale of his journey with his companion, a young girl, as they strive to find an escape to find the world beyond the dark forest.

It is a story of innocence in the face of darkness and corruption. Of the coming of age of the child and  the release of the creative spirit.

The concept of Bulby comes from my time in high school. As such it is imbued with several of my experiences and memories of people during that time making it an extremely personal project.

For My Final Major Project, I will focus on storytelling in the medium of graphic novels. I aim to realise the first book of Bulby into the form of a graphic novel by the end of my final year.
